Minister of Road and Transport Development of Mongolia, Mr. Bat-Erdene Jadamba, paid an official visit to the People’s Republic of China at the invitation of the Minister of Transport of China, Mr. Li Xiaopeng from 29th January to 2nd February, 2018.
On the first day of the visit, Transport Minister of the People’s Republic of China, Mr. Li Xiaopeng, received the official delegation of Mongolia led by the Minister of Road and Transport Development of Mongolia, held official talks on maritime affairs within the cooperation in the field of transport, which brought the cooperation between the two countries to a new level.
During the meeting, the Maritime Administration of Mongolia and the Maritime Safety Administration of the People’s Republic of China signed a Memorandum of Understanding agreeing to cooperate on sharing experiences, preparing personnel etc. Accordingly, within the framework of developing national maritime sector of Mongolia, our Administration will actively cooperate with China, which is one of the leading countries in the maritime field.
Ministry of Transport of China expressed their gratitude to Mongolia for supporting China during the election of IMO Council membership, and expressed their full support and cooperation with Mongolia.
Maritime Safety Administration of China has similar main activities with Mongolian Maritime Administration, which are to develop national policies, laws and regulations as well as standards complying with mandatory instruments of the International Maritime Organization, and ensuring its effective implementation.
