The Administration has participated in the Discussion on the National Sustainable Development goal implementation report and the seminar has been organized in the office

The UN has announced 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and associated 169 targets, to be implemented fully by the Member States up to 2030. The majority of countries are intensively working on the targets, starting from 2016.

One of the criteria for the successful implementation of the goals is measured “Leave no one behind” principle, it was efficient to cover all related public and none governmental organizations, including private entities.

Mongolia’s first voluntary report has been submitted in 2019 and was reviewed by the regional meeting of the UN.

As the second voluntary report is to be submitted this year in 2023, the implementation of the missing targets in the first report is to be reviewed by the working group. SDG-14 “Life below water” has been left in the 1st report, as the country is landlocked. As the report should cover all the goals the working group on the 2nd report has invited the Administration to cooperate in the reporting procedure, which was accepted and we have assisted in filling the related target fulfillment during the discussion event, organized by the UNDP of Mongolia, on January 4th of 2023.

The Administration has invited Mrs. Oyuntuya, the National expert on the SDG Implementation working group of the Civil society network to learn a general understanding of the 17 goals and their importance for the Global Community. The lecture was organized on 13th of the January, 2023 at the office of the Administration, where all employees participated, during which was discussed some targets of SDG 14.
